8 Exciting and Terrifying Elon Musk Predictions About The Future - HI. I'M ED.

As the CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and a co-founder of OpenAI, as well as The Boring Company, and Neuralink, Elon Musk seems to be everywhere at the same time.

And he has made some bold predictions about the future. Some are super exciting and others scare the shit out of me!

1. All forms of transport will become electric

During an interview with Marketplace in 2015, Elon Musk said that aircraft, ships, trains, and automobiles will go fully electric.

The only question remaining is when. I would say we are well on our way and there’s no looking back.

2. Half of new vehicles produced will be electric

Elon is convinced that in a decade, half of new vehicles in the US will be electric.

3. In 20 years, full self-driving features will be standard in most vehicles

During Tesla’s third-quarter earnings call in 2015, Elon Musk said that owning a car without any self-driving capabilities will be the same as owning a horse.

Horses are great, but they aren’t the best way to transport people or cargo. In the near future, we’ll think of gasoline cars the same way.

And there will come a time when people will demand people not be allowed to drive since people will be far more dangerous at driving than an advanced self-driving car.

4. Self-driving cars will eliminate most driving jobs

As cars become autonomous, it will disrupt the job market in a big way. I believe 99.9% of driving jobs will disappear.

5. We will be on Mars within 10 years

Elon Musk spoke at the International Astronautical Congress and shared a few insights about his plan, which included using his company SpaceX to get humans to Mars.

His ultimate goal is to have a self-sustaining city on the red planet.

6. AI will be more dangerous than nuclear weapons

One of the biggest threats to human civilization is Artificial Intelligence.

7. Killer robots could be another problem

Artificial General intelligence is capable of starting a war by creating fake news, spoofing email accounts, fake press releases, manipulating information, and much more.

8. Humans will have to become part robot to survive…or at least be able to process information just as fast

During the World Government Summit in Dubai, Elon Musk said that we are likely to see a symbiosis between humans and artificial intelligence.

If we don’t merge with AI, we will be left behind.

Elon Musk said on the Joe Rogan Experience earlier this year that Neuralink could begin human trials within a year.

Woah!

With all that said, it’s time for me to go to sleep and dream about killer robots cruising around town in self-driving Teslas as we blast off to Mars.

Goodnight, dudes!
